I'm a retired air traffic controller. I retired from the FAA after working at the control tower at Brackett airport in La Verne (POC - 1985 to to 1989), transferred to the Monterey airport (MRY - 1989 to 2003), and finally to the Northern California TRACON (NCT or "NorCal Approach" for you pilots - 1989 to 2005) located on the former Mather AFB.

I am a current amateur (or Ham) radio operator [KS6P] and enjoy my other hobby of weather watcher. I have a full time weather station that measures and records almost everything you can think of.

I was born and raised in the Southern California, my home town being Glendora, but I love it here and plan to stay. Lakes, rivers, the gold rush towns and many historic places to visit such as the one in Folsom where Sacramento first got electricity from in the early 1900's. On top of that I'm only a short distance to South Lake Tahoe!
