Kim L. Pamplin, Ph.D.

Hi Kim,

Here's some more info on me and a question. I am associate professor
and chair of the Department of Chemistry, and an analytical chemist. My
license plate is "KIMIST".

There is another Kim at ACU, though he currently prefers to use "KB".
These two web pages describe him. He used to be the weather anchor for
a local television station for which he used "Kim", so it is no secret.

I have met another Kim who is the superintendent of Roscoe (Texas)
Independent School District - Kim Alexander. I couldn't easily find a
web page on him, though his email is listed through the Region 14
Education Service Center (www.esc14.net)

Now the question: the folks listed on the Other Guys Named Kim web
page seem to have a disproportionate number of pointy-headed geeks like
me. Do you assume that academic folks are more likely to have web pages
than the general population or do you think that guys named named Kim
are just naturally smart? Must be the name, right?
