While on the Internet using "Kimandre" as my alias, I've had several people referring to me as a female when starting a private chat session. Each time, after I tell them that I'm a guy, they "hang up" on me (ie. go silent). One of the reasons I now have more of a genderless nickname on the Internet. Thankfully, that kind of misunderstanding has never happened to me in real life.
