I've met half a dozen other guys named Kim. I and two other Kim's once had a beer together (we got together just for the kick of it thru a common friend.) I had a part-time job in a school cafeteria working for another guy named Kim. Imagine the puzzlement of all the other mundanely-named folk when they first discovered they were in the minority.

I found a book of names a long time ago listing Kim as a boys name. It said the origin was Celtic and that it was a derivitive of "Solomon" meaning "the wise". OK, I'll buy that :-) Oddly, the same book did not list Kim as a girls name at all...
