I've got no idea why I was named Kim. I got the usual schoolyard "girls-name" taunts but with a surname like Badcock my first name was the least of my issues back then. LOL. Suffice to say I soon learned to use humour rather than fisticuffs to deal with those sorts of taunts.

I have always found it beneficial to have a slightly different name in that people remember you easily, or at least I hope that's the reason!

My first nickname was Kimba after that wussy cartoon white lion. Fortunately it got Australianised to Kimbo.

I had a stint as a mobile entertainer aka DJ KiMBO and as a clown at my daughter's 5th birthday as 'Kimbo The Wonderful' (think Krusty the Clown gone to seed)
