I, as most of us, can relate to the story of "Kim Harwood Miller". I was named by my dad, Robert, who hated all the many names Roberts are called. So he felt as Kim, I would not be subjected to that. I guess he never thought of Kim ever becoming such a popular girl's name. The definition he found for it was "chief or ruler".

I found that being good in athletics in high school helped stop the harassment. I also learned that girls, for the most part, didn't mind my name.

I am now very happily married to a great girl for 28 years, with two wonderful children. The worst problem we have had is when an insurance company thought we were a lesian couple. My wife was not pleased and took it out on the poor insurance agent. I bet he never made that mistake again.:-)
