Mum says I'm named after Kim from the novel by Rudyard Kipling.
Dad says i'm named after the Kim Philby the double agent MI5/KGB who I believe is named after the Rudyard Kipling Kim any way...
I prefer to associate myself with the former and in some sense identify with the character in my work.
I used to hate my name when I was at school but now I feel more proud to be a Kim.
