Going through life with the
name Kim was very difficult at first until people learned not to play
with my name. But the most difficult part was not the kids but rather
the adults. And as a child there was not much that I could say to
the adults without getting into trouble until I got older and wiser and
learned how to deal with them.
But overall it has been
real interesting, especially hearing people responses when they find
out my name and their stupid responses and remarks that they make I
could write a book about it.
Here's a funny story: just
recently I got kicked off of my benefits plan because they thought that
she was married to a woman. Even after providing our marriage license
and my birth certificate they were still not satisfied. This
matter is still going on.
I'm quite sure that everybody have war stories to tell.
I
was curious and happy to find that there was a site dedicated to men
with our name. Over the course of the years I found out that there are
many men with the name kim, some are famous atheletes which made me
feel that much better.
