As a kid growing up I really was never bothered too much by my name. I remember I got into a fight when someone called me "fish stringer". But I was really never picked on for my name.

Funny too, most girls kinda liked my name. Never knew why, but I didn't care.

My name has bothered me more in my adult years. The Ms Kim Stringer mail and the server that brings back the credit card that I gave her/him with my name on it and she/he gives it to my wife. Little stuff like that bothers me.

My parents also told me about the Rudyard Kipling book "Kim" but like I said as a kid it didn't bother me too much, and now it just doesn't matter.

When I was 17 I had a job working at a service station. I worked for this guy for 2 years and he never called me Kim. He always called me Tom. I must have corrected him a million times but till the day I quit he called Tom. I had some names for him though. He never knew them, but I had them.

This is a great site. Someone should come up with some manly products with the Kim name on them. Coffee mugs and such. Everything you see in the stores with Kim on it is so girly.
